Overview of the Kyrgyz Kendo Federation 1. General Information The Kyrgyz Kendo Federation is the official national sports and cultural organization responsible for the development and promotion of Kendo (剣道, “The Way of the Sword”) and Iaido (居合道, “The Way of Instant Sword Drawing”) in the Kyrgyz Republic. The Federation operates in accordance with traditional Japanese budo principles and international standards. 2. Mission and Objectives The Federation’s mission is to develop Kendo and Iaido in Kyrgyzstan as means of: physical, moral, and spiritual development; cultivating discipline, responsibility, and respect; strengthening international cultural and sports relations. Key objectives include: promoting Kendo and Iaido among children, youth, and adults; training athletes, instructors, and referees; developing national teams; representing the Kyrgyz Republic at international competitions and seminars; expanding cooperation with foreign federations and Japanese organizations. 3. Core Activities The Kyrgyz Kendo Federation conducts: regular training programs in Kendo and Iaido; national championships, cups, and open tournaments; seminars and training camps with international instructors; official grading examinations (kyu and dan); participation of athletes and referees in international events; educational and cultural programs related to Japanese martial arts. 4. Core Values and Principles The Federation is guided by: respect for traditional Japanese budo values; balanced development of body, mind, and spirit; adherence to the sensei–senpai–kohai hierarchy; safe and methodologically sound instruction; openness to practitioners of all ages, genders, and experience levels. 5.
